Soo someone told me that I should spend more on my GPU and go Cheap on my CPU if I’m looking to be gaming. Ofc to reduce bottleneck.  For my build I’m looking to game at 1440p high fps.
Now I’m in this predicament because I don’t know which one to go cheaper on Should I chose a cheaper CPU instead of my Ryzen 5600 that I wanted to get? Or should I go cheaper on my GPU instead of my RX 5600XT I wanted to get.

And if you think I should go cheaper on one of them and go bigger on the other let me know which ones to use instead.

  • My Budget for both parts in total is $365 USD

Someone please explain this to me and suggest some ideas thanks!

Definitely don't skimp on CPU, getting a quality CPU now means you can always upgrade your graphics card in the future. I'd say go cheaper and/or buy used on the card instead to save money (especially because, contrary to popular belief, graphics cards do not wear like other components).

My profile picure is real. That's what I look like in real life. I'm actually a blue and white African Wild Dog.

Ryzen 9 5900X - MSI Ventus 2x OC 3060 Ti - 2x8GB Corsair Vengeance LPX 3200MHz CL16 - ASRock B550 Phantom Gaming ITX/ax

depends, what performance target are you hoping to reach, and in what games?

The Ryzen 5 2600 is far from a bad CPU, and if you are buying in an asian market, the Ryzen 5 3500 is also an option.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

PSU tier list

How many watts do I need?

PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

So can you tell me what should I do them like should I get a higher priced CPU? And a lower priced GPU?

Overwatch can get some great frames on the Ryzen 5 2600, and so can GTA. Since you're targeting 1440p, don't skimp on the GPU.

What GPU would you recommend if I get the 2600 then

The 5600 XT that you mentioned earlier, if that was what you were trying to save money for.
