Good Budget SSD?

970 Evo is overpriced. It's a good drive, but it's not "budget" and $/GB is poor.

SN750 is also typically a bit more expensive, however the NAND market rebound is making it more competitive. It's $70 atm at Amazon which is a decent price if you really wanted that drive, but I wouldn't pay more.

P1/P2 and 660p/665p will probably be your best $/GB, but I wouldn't get those in capacities less than 1TB. They are QLC, and you will start to see the shortcomings of QLC faster at a smaller capacity.

There are a gazillion E12/E12S drives out there (Sabrent Rocket, Silicon Power P34A80, Seagate Firecuda, Corsair MP510, etc etc) it's an off the shelf design and they perform at same level as the normal 970 Evo for a lot less (and have exceptional TBW warranty).

Likewise any drive with SM2262/EN will be great as a consumer NVMe and will be lower than the 970 Evo, should be in same ballpack as the E12 drives.

I'm looking for a powerful 500GB M.2 Nvme SSD on a budget (below $100), so far I've looked at the Mushkin PILOT, 970 EVO, WD SN750, ADATA XPG SX8500 Pro, And the Crucial P1. Here's were I might need help, I don't know which SSD should I go with. I'm also open to any other SSD suggestions.
