Cheaper ModMic eqivialent?

I use a cheap Aliexpress boom mic on my HD598s. They were like £10 (GBP).

They do the job, they're not terrible. It's too bad they're not being sold by this seller anymore.

You'll probably be able to find the exact same thing on eBay if you search the right thing. Try "2.5mm boom microphone" or something.

Heyho guys,

 

I am currenty using some Sennheiser HDs and a ModMic 5. Absoluteyl love that setup!

My wife also wants such a microphone to clip on to her HD598, but does not want to spens asa much as I did on the ModMic.

I know about the V-Moda Boom pro, but thats not an option, because the HDs use a different input connector at the headphones.

Are there other (cheaper) optios besides the ModMic?

And that works on your cans? The connector looks verry different than the one on my Sennheiser suplied cable for the HDs

You just need to find a boom cable with a 2.5mm 3 pole (so the tip has two plastic rings)
