Hi I currently have an i5-4690 (none k), 16GB ram and a gtx 960 reference.

I to slowly upgrade my Machine and I don’t know if I should go gpu or cpu first. I mainly game and the occasional bit of video editing for fun.

I was thinking about a Ryzen 2600 or 3600 but I only have a budget of £200-£250 at the moment to upgrade. So any help or recommendations would be appreciated.

1660 super would be a healthy upgrade for this PC.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I need?

I agree. A 1660 super would be a good upgrade. Upgrading your CPU is more difficult if you want to switch to a Ryzen CPU. You would have to switch out your motherboard for that as well which is a lot more expensive and complicated.

I mostly speak from my own past experience from similar problems. My solution may not work for you, but I'll always try my best to help as much as I can. If you want me to see your reply, make sure to quote my comment or mention me @WaggishOhio383, and I'll get back to you as soon as possible.
