HDR issues with the xbox one x

Right so I am having issues trying to get HDR10 working with games and apps on the xbox one x. I have tried everything I can think of but every time I launch a HDR application the monitor, which is a Phillips Momentum 436m6vbpab, says 'HDR MODE' and the colours become washed out and the screen becomes incredibly dark. I'm wondering where I am going wrong here. Any help is greatly appreciated.
