Fan problem

My front facing fan is having problems starting up, and the only way to get it started is to give it a little tap, then it starts up like normal, is there anything i should be worried about? One of the fan blades were broken off when we bought it used, so anything i should do?

That means that the fan speed is set to low to get it started. Raise it.
