Hello this is my PC rn:

Geforce GTX 550 ti

AMD FX(tm)-8120 8-core

EVGA 750 B3

8GB of RAM

SSD drive

I have a few things that might help with your advice:

1. My budget is around $200  CAD

2.I want to play the new mount & blade 2 game

3. my current pc does shutdown while I play games unless I put a fan outside of the PC to help with ventilation.

Thanks in advance for the help!

Then you need to fix your thermals. It's possible that the thermal paste has gone bad, or that the cooler is gunked up with dust, or the CPU is overclocked too much, but if it's doing thermal shutdowns, it needs fixing.

For $200 CAD,  you can afford an RX 570 new or an RX 580 used.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

Do you think the CPU needs upgrading as well? I would say my budget would be like $200 CAD for each part If its needed

The RX 570 itself is the whole budget, if you want to upgrade the CPU as well you'll need to save up quite a bit of money, as you'll need a new motherboard and ram to accompany it.

The RX 570 is pretty close to the recommended requirements for the game, and I've seen a couple videos of people playing on high or very high settings with some low end graphics cards like a GTX 970.
