RTX 2060 XC 6GB can it work without 8 pin?

So i just ordered myself a RTX 2060 XC 6GB, but my PSU doesn't have an 8 pin connector for the GPU, it's some janky PSU called "CIT 500CB" it's 500w, i am just asking, do i need a 8pin connector for my gpu to work? or can i just stick without it?
also, if i need a 8pin connector, what is a cheap PSU that i can find, that has an 8pin connector? i don't want something really expensive. $45 Tops.
 

My Current Rig:
CPU: i5-4460
iGPU: Intel HD 4600

GPU: None

Ram: 12GB DDR3 1600MHz

Mobo: Asus H81M-Plus

PSU: CIT 500CB (500W)

CX550 and a 5600 XT - the 2060 is kinda overpriced atm.

i am getting RTX for RTX support, a CX550 is $75

the 2060 can't really handle ray tracing. Minimum for that is a 2070

You are not missing anything in regards to RTX.

I would choose a higher performing GPU for a lower cost.
