Hi all,

I am wanting to upgrade my RAM from my current Hyper x Fury 2x4Gb DDR4  2400MHZ to 16Gb

My problem is I'm not sure what arrangement to have. Ideally I would keep my current RAM to save money, time and effort.

Do I go for...

- Another 2x4Gb

- Another 1x8Gb

- 2x8b and selling my current RAM and if so what would be the advantages of this.

Thank you

Grab 2x8 of faster RAM and sell the current sticks

I think I'm going for this option and spend that little bit extra. Also I realised that my mobo is only duel channel anyway. Thanks :)

ASUS Z179-P

You mean Z170-P right ?

If you don't think you will need more than 16GB Ram then you could just add another 2 x 4GB kit of the same Ram if you can find it for a decent price, or any other brand with the same frequency/timings should also work fine.
