MSI vs Asus Rog Strix

Hey so i have a question regarding gpu’s i am thinking of getting the MSI RTX 2060 Super 8GB Gaming X or Asus Rog strix RTX 2060 Super 8GB Gaming which one should i get in terms of performance idc that much about noise.
 

MSI boost clock: 1695mhz

 

asus boost clock: 1650-1680mhz depending on the Mode

Out of these two it will be a gamble of silicon lottery and there's not much you can do to increase your chances. Outside of these two, maybe a 5700XT or 2070 is better for the same price as long as the cooler doesn't suck because the gains from overclocking is never going to outweigh a faster GPU from the beginning.

The difference in clock speeds is negligible as far as performance is concerned.

 

They are both good cards. The tri-fan setup on the Asus might be a little quieter, but I've had a few dual-fan MSI cards and have never had any issues with noise and/or cooling. I'd go with which ever one you like the looks of more, or which ever is cheaper.

So 5600 XT is like rtx 2060 but cheaper.

RTX 2070 might be more worth it, if found at a good price.

Asus' Nvidia cards are good, but usually not worth the price.

 

EVGA rtx 2060 KO is better than other 2060's (heard rumors about something)

Yes he's right about the EVGA "2060" KO. It's not really a 2060 it's a RTX 2080 from the scrapyard. They took the chips that failed from the RTX 2080s and used them in that card. Due to that in some professional workloads it is almost 40 percent faster than a regular 2060. 

 

Doesn't mean a thing for gaming. I was hoping someone would mod it into a 2080 but so far doesn't seem possible. 😂

well its closer to 2070 than 2060 in gaming. But it is not 2080 in gaming
