Dell Dimension 4600

I have a Dell Dimensions 4600 with no OS. Is there any projects I should do with this? I don't just want to throw it away if I am able to use for something. I originally wanted to use it as a NAS but I couldn't find any 32-bit programs. Also, I need to put in a new hard drive for sure. Let me know.

 

BTW, my budget for any projects is max 200

Well you could make a cheap gaming pc and sell it. Can u tell me the specs

Ubuntu still comes in 32-bit on the LTS variant. Why not learn linux, and set up the NAS that way?

CPU: Intel Inside Pentium 4
Motherboard: Dell E210882
RAM: 2GB (2x1GB) DDR-400Mhz

HHD: 120 GB(needs to be replaced)

What software should I use? I can install Ubuntu, sure, but how would I set that up to become a NAS?

I personally use samba. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samba_(software)

There are lots of guides online to help you set it up how you like.
