Can Android do this?

In this video by tech syndicate they show a portable hdd enclousure that can mount iso's and do some other cool things. Could an android phone be used to try and emulate this functionality. I know that stock android wouldn't be able, but maybe a rooted device with an app could do this. Do you guys think this is possible?

You need a powered enclosure and a device that will accept the input as a hard drive. It's possible, but not the easiest.

Yes, well kinda. What you can do is, get an app like DriveDriod and turn your phone into a portable HDD. I don't think you can  mount ISO on to the phone and use the phone as a external DVD drive.
