Forgive me if this is a nooby question but I am a little unsure what is happening with my pc.

I recently built my first pc and I have a corsair h100x in it (240mm rad) and my cpu is a ryzen 3600.

My idle temps are in the 30-40c range I think this is normal. My issue is, is that I do folding at home and my cpu hits 75c when it is folding. I feel like this is much too high for a 240mm rad with this cpu. Is this just me being paranoid or is there something wrong?

Thank you.

What do your ambient temps look like?

About 35-42c normally. Sometimes spiking up to high 40s when the cpu spikes. My temps spike then fall slowly then spik and fall slowly over and over again at idle.

Ambient temperatures, temperatures in your room/house, not CPU temps.

F@H is quite demanding when you have a workload, 75° is within normal range for Ryzen, but if your ambient temps are in the negatives, I would be looking at a potential heat transfer issue somewhere.

Oh. Oops. Ambient temps in the house are about 20c. Thank you, nothing to worry about then.
