I wouldn't bother waiting. With the situation that the world is currently facing, alot of new releases are being delayed and as a fellow Aussie, I sure as shit know prices are only going to get more expenses.

I finally have money to upgrade my PC but now I'm not sure if I should do it right now. I was originally gonna go with AMD - x570 motherboard and 3700x so when AMD releases 4th generation I have the option to upgrade my CPU. The only thing that's stopping me is that intel's comet lake CPU's are probably only a couple months away so should I save up for that instead?

 

Any advice / opinions would be appreciated.

comet lake isn't going to beat 4th gen ryzen and likely won't beet 3rd gen on a price/performance ratio.

I completely forgot about the pandemic, you're right. I can see prices are already starting to rise. I think I'll pull the trigger on it. Thank you both for the replies. 😁
