Hi i recently upgraded various parts of my computer to.

asus ROG z390-F motherboard

Intel i7 9700k

evga 700gd 700W power supply

16gb DDR4 corshair vengeance 3000mhz

i am reusing the PNY GTX 1060 6gb from my previous PC however it does not show up in my bios or my device manager. When i go to bios and look at the connected PCIe slots, it says there are no attatched devices. Due to the size of my graphics card it will not fit in the 1st PCIE slot as it cannot fully seat in due to the SATA hub on the opposite side of the Motherboard, when i plug the GPU into the 2nd PCIe slot the fans spin and it appears the GPU is on however it does not show in bios or device manager.

Any kind of assistance would be greatly appreaciated. (i do not know how to upload images of bios settings i hope the explanation was enough)

to upload photos you can take a screenshot of your screen. for me to do it its easy but I don't know what type of keyboard you are using. for me its that I have to hold down the windows button (as I am using a Microsoft keyboard) and press the Prtscn (print screen) key and it takes a screenshot of what I am looking at right now. as for uploading them below this text block you will see

click choose files and open wherever your screenshots are saved and you can upload it.

Are you sure you can't fit it in the top 16x slot? That board doesn't look like it should present any issues, but I could be wrong.

If the fans start but it's not detected that's an indication that it's getting power but not PCIe-- maybe that board does something weird with lane allocation so 2nd slot only doesn't work? In theory it should be smart enough to detect it but if they cheaped out on PCIe switching logic it might see no 1st card and give up.

Try the third slot, it's only x4 speed but should work as well. If not, reset the BIOS to defaults, there must be some weird setting, maybe the lanes are cut off or something. Also what model GPU ist that, I have never seen a GPU in the past 20 years that would not fit on a motherboard due to size.
