I have gathered information from people on here on what components I should get as I am in a rough position with my Pc at the moment and would just like to finalise a couple things.

The Components I am getting are:

Motherboard- Msi b-450 tomohawk max atx am4 motherboard

Power Supply- Thermal take smart 600 w 80+ certified atx power supply

cpu- Ryzen 5 3600 3.6ghz 6-core processor

Gpu-Msi Nvidia GeForce Gtx 1660ti gaming x 6g graphics card 6 gb gddr6, 1875hz, dual fan cooling,3x display port

Could you all let me know if this combination is combatable and anyway i can improve it for a cheaper cost? Thank you in advanced! :)

Will the motherboard be supported by my case too?

To confirm, is this the Thermaltake Smart with 80+ White certification? Or different?

Could you give a link to this PSU?

Can't confirm anything about the PSU yet, but these items look good. What RAM do you have/are you getting?

Seems compatabile but the mobo might require a bios update to support ryzen 3rd gen but idk about that

All MSI MAX boards are Ryzen 3000 ready out of the box, although in this day-and-age basically everything will be ready for Ryzen 3000 at this point.

The Power Supply is the exact words it had on my original post. Would you recommend me getting the white certification or keep this one?

here is the link for it - https://pcpartpicker.com/product/6RTrxr/thermaltake-smart-600w-80-certified-semi-modular-atx-power-supply-ps-spd-0600npcwus-w

also at the moment i have 8gb of ram is there need to upgrade to 16 or even 24 or can that wait till a later date?

I would advice not getting that PSU.

Get a Corsair CX550 or Be Quiet Pure Power 11 500W instead.

Much higher quality PSU's for a system like this.

1x8GB or 2x4GB? At what speed?

Ryzen likes fast memory, if you have slow memory I would recommend upgrading the memory altogether (to a 2x4GB or 2x8GB 3000Mhz or higher kit), if this is 1x8GB, but at a high speed; I would recommend getting another stick of it.

Apologies if my reply sounded rude, that was not my intention. I was just trying to say OP would be fine with this motherboard in terms of BIOS updates, because these motherboards will always be Ryzen 3000 ready (as if that wasn't mentioned, OP might have thought it was needed still).
