Hi all. My new PSU has 2x this peripheral connectors. I havent seen these since the days of IDE! are they still used for anything useful?

They are there for legacy support (so for IDE support still) and certain 'controllers' still use this.

With controllers I mean USB-, firewire-, fan-, etc. controllers.

But in most PC's you will just not use it at all.
