Hello!

I finally want to buy/build a new computer after a few years. Since my graphic card is still good I want to use it in the new one.

Specs of new PC with old graphic card (GTX 1060) and hard disk (HHD 1TB):

Now my questions is, if that Build is compatible... And if there is something where I can save money.

I would also like to know if the CPU cooler is alright for the i7-9700K and the power supply is suitable.

Maybe in a few years I will upgrade the graphic card and hard disk (to SSD), but at the moment I don't have that much money available as a student.

My budget is around 1000$ and I live in Germany. I mostly use the computer for 3D modeling, video editing, web browsing and games like Overwatch of course.

I hope someone can help me! And sorry if I spelled something wrong, I hope everything is understandable! ^^a

PCpartpicker's compatibility checker will have your back here, all set.

AMD is a viable option for any use case that is not super high refresh rate in the newest games.

And since you are rocking only a GTX 1060, I wouldn't stress any bottlenecks.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

PSU tier list

How many watts do I need?

PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

If you want to save money and get a better pc for modelling, editing and gaming, I would recommend a ryzen system.

Thanks for your suggestions but I would really like to stay with the Intel system. I know that the Processor and Motherboard are on a different level compared to the graphic card, but I don't plan to upgrade them for some years. And perhaps I want to switch my current GTX 1060 with a GTX 2070 (or better) someday.

I also got a question to the power supply... Are these pins (I am not sure how they are called ^^a) suitable for my graphic card and motherboard etc..?

I really have no clue about that but there are so many on the back...

And I also agree to include an SSD. I will try to do that, thanks! ^^b
