Egpu asus N76VB

Hey guys,

 

I know there are a lot of posts about eGPU on laptops, so, sorry if this has already been asked

So as a project I want to build mhy Asus N76VB into something else.

Now I have seen Linus his vid’s about the “beast” where the EGPU kind of works. So i started to look around for some alternatives and I came across this at AliExpress:

It is significantly cheaper, so can anyone tell me if this is a good alternative?

It could be, but USB bandwidth... i don't know...

It's usb bandwith which is nowhere near enough for any worthwhile gpu.

It looks like it is only using "USB" as a connection. The bandwidth of standard USB is irrelevant here. It's still at best a 1x connection, though.

It is using the usb bus and bandwith as a connection and bandwith. It's one of those typical miner setups as mining doesn't need high bandwith and usb is fine for that.

How does it convert PCIe to a USB interface without any IC's?
