Hi

I am trying to clone everything from my 120GB to my 240GB but when I do it says the 240GB is not initialized. I am using Acronis true image.

The drive is formatted and shows up in computer.

Can anyone help?

Im not sure about the specifics of True Image, but a not initialised disk is when it is 100% free, unpartitioned space.

Try partitioning it into a single volume without a filesystem and see if that works? You could also use a Linux live CD/USB and just use dd. It is very simple to do.

dd if=/dev/120GBssd of=/dev/240gbssd

That will clone your 120GB ssd to your 240GB SSD. Obviously uyou will need to work out which device is which, and replace xxxSSD with that.

Check your Diskmanager and initialise the disk / reformat if you already have.

Frost upon these cigarettes.... lipstick on the window pane...
