low memory usage, but 100% gpu usage.

when i was gaming on 4k, for some reason my p106's memory usage was only 33%, but gpu usage was 100%. why is the memory so low? 

main rig:

CPU: 8086k @ 4.00ghz-4.3 boost

PSU: 750 watt psu gold (Corsair rm750)

gpu:axle p106-100 6gbz msi p104-100 @ 1887+150mhz oc gpu clock, 10,012 memory clock*2(sli?) on prime w coffee lake igpu

Mobo: Z390 taichi ultimate

Ram: 2x8gb corsair vengence lpx @3000mhz speed

case: focus G black

OS: ubuntu 16.04.6, and umix 20.04

Cooler: mugen 5 rev b,

Storage: 860 evo 1tb/ 120 gb corsair force nvme 500

8gb ram celeron laptop/860 evo 500gb

What game? Those numbers arent strictly related at all.

GPU usage and memory is not related.

Depending on the game, the memory would not be loaded to the max, only the amount that the game needed.

Low memory usage is not the indication of slow memory.

o okay thats good to know thought the resolution would make it high memory and was an issue since wasn't. game was 4k minecraft with bsl shaders on all high.

Are you having some sort of problem? If not it's nothing to worry about. As others have said GPU and VRAM usage aren't necessarily related. My 970's will do the same thing in Folding At home, the GPU usage may be at 100% with 25% or less VRAM usage.
