Oic, I was saving money currently to build a desk like that, it should end up looking something like this:

Except the corner desk isn't a C shape, it's like this:

I ended up just building one so it was exactly how I wanted, started on it 6 months ago and still haven't finished it... but its getting there. Its in my garage, so that is why there is a shed door at the top of the first picture. I can just pull it down when I'm going to make a mess in the garage doing a project.

Old computer power supply powering an old vehicle stereo system:

I couldn't move the computer far enough to get a very good picture of this... but the raise is to keep most of my cabling and battery backup system out of the way.

It also made it nice for the cables coming out to my keyboard and mouse, plus I was able to mount my turtlebeach and Xbox controller receivers there.

I made it too deep though, and my monitor was uncomfortably too far away so it was a good excuse to buy an Ergotron mount.

Is that an LCD ripped from an old laptop? How'd you get that working with a standard desktop (or is it still plugged in to the laptop somewhere)?

Its hooked up to the desktop, search eBay for LVDS controller.

Make sure that you order one where they ask you to send the LCD model number, they will be $30-$40. They sell some universal ones for under $10 (plus the cost of an inverter) and I bought three different versions as I have about a dozen old LCD panels I've collected and figured I would get the universal and decide what panel to use later... I only managed to get one controller and panel to match up and work. If you really want to try the universal ones anyways, make sure to get one that is programmed by jumper pins and doesn't need the $60 USB programmer card.
