Home NAS Server Build

Hello all,

Im looking for suggestions on a part list to build a home FreeNAS server. I plan to be running the obvious SMB shares, 1-2 VMs, and and few jailed plugins. 

Big requirements for this build include it being as small as possible while still using a standard ATX power supply and miniITX/microATX board(board must have an on board Gbit NIC capable of WoL), space for at least 3 HDDs, low power consumption, ability to display to a monitor, and quiet. Looking to keep the budget to less than $500 if possible not including the drives, while still using current gen hardware.
