Hi all,

 

Hoping you can give me some advice.

 

i am looking at building my first computer in like 15 years (been using gaming laptops more recently namely Alienware now 5 years old) it’s main purpose will be gaming.

 

i am looking at a budget of roughly $3,500 AUD.

I think you should go Ryzen instead of Intel, because the next gen consoles will use Zen 2 architecture so the games will be optimized for Ryzen. Also please, don't purchase a Windows 10 Pro at full price, you can get a cheap licence on Ebay or other "cdkey" websites.

Thanks for the advice forgive the boob question are the buying the keys safe/good.

Yeah you just create a bootable usb stick using Microsoft's Media Creation Tool and then when Windows is installed just enter the licence you've purchased (just keep in mind that most of them are Pro licences, so check which licence you'll buy before installing Windows to install the right version).

 

For memory I forgot the change it, but the sweet spot for Ryzen 3rd gen is 3600MHz with low latency.
