I recently bought a 5700XT Nitro+ and while the performance is really good it is super loud. It doesn't matter what the fan curve is. I can't use any other software for fan curves because they either dont work or bug out and set the fans to 100%. I have to use the AMD Radeon Software which sucks because I can't tell what the exact numbers or fan % is. Anything that is not near the lowest it lets me go for fan speed is super loud. I have it on the silent bios. Is this normal? What is a good fan curve? I don't really care about temps as long as they don't go to within 2 degrees of 80.

Really that card doesn't look like it would be loud. What are your temps when its loud vs when you set it to a quiet setting.

I haven't tested. But with my "quiet" fan curve it is still loud and in COD Warzone hovers around 62-68 7100225203d5173e004736d19c3cf6b7.png

Does this seem to act like your card? According to GM it shouldn't be that loud at really low rpms.

That seems about right if not my card might be a bit louder. I know what each Dba would be on a chart but it would be really handy if AMD Radeon would tell me the fricking RPM of the things. EDIT: NVM it does and I just can't read. Yes those noises are correct. Maybe I'm too sensitive

loud?  my 290x sounds like a hovercraft at 100%.  Yours sounds like something other than a fan curve.... something with the actual fan... or.. the shroud on the card is not bent or anything is it?

No it's not bent, it might be the actual fan but I dunno. At 1000-1100RPM it sounds quietish (to me) and is similar to what GM was getting so maybe I'm just waaaaayyy to sensitive to PC acoustics.

that is probably accurate

I typically find the issue is how quiet people expect high end hardware to be rather than the hardware actually having an issue. kinda like complaining how loud a sports car is

This is probably true. I guess I'll ahve to learn to deal with it.
