I have been trying to get a disc copy of command and conquer 3 to download on my laptop for hours. For awhile it will say "updating component registration" and then it will pop up with "Data error (cyclic redundancy check)." I have tried troubleshooting and nothing is working. You guys are my last hope. I have windows 10 64 bit and the game came out in 2007.

You should quote people when you reply, otherwise there's no notification. Well, "disk version" would've been a bit more clear in this case ;)

As I said, CRC (cyclic redundancy check) is basically an integrity check for files. If that fails it means some file isn't copied from the CD to your hard drive as it should. Maybe check the disk for scratches or dust.

Remember to either quote or @mention others, so they are notified of your reply

Do you use Steam?  If you still have the cd key, you might be able to activate the game on Steam, bypassing possible corrupt file issues with your cd's.
