Having a series of errors when installing windows 10 - Need help

Hello,

I freshly built a pc last night and today I am trying to install windows 10 and am getting snagged by a series of errors. I boot through the USB (from the purchased Windows 10 Home I bought). It shows the Hard Drive with total size and free space being 931.5 GB. But in the window it has the error Windows cant be installed on this drive. From googling I have tried running disk part and converting to GPT and creating a partition, but when I go to convert it says error (cyclic redundancy check). I am at a loss of what to do next, any help is appreciated!

Can a brand new drive right out of the box be damaged?

Still possible but unlikely.

during the installation try doing check disk.

you can access command prompt by pressing f10 (while in the installation process)

says the type of file system is FAT32. Windows cannot run disk checking on this volume because it is write protected.

Might be trying to check the thumb drive that you have the installation media on... hmmm *head scratching noises*

Use diskpart to format the drive because it shouldn't be read only or fat32 for a windows 10 installation.

Diskpart commands

list disk

select disk <Number>

clean

This is because you are using the setup tool command prompt instead of being booted into windows.

That's the install directory for Windows 10.  It sounds like the install isn't seeing your hard drive for some reason.

I mean it has a device unallocated with 931.5GB of space and free space, would that mean it is recognizing the hard drive?

Here is the cyclic redundancy error. The error in the bottom right is when i boot through the partition 1 option of the USB. Also attached the boot options I get

You might also want to try converting to mbr then back to gpt (same command just mbr instead of gpt.)

Have you tried restarting? Also make sure there aren't any settings limiting it to read only bios or jumper on drive.

Make sure there aren't any jumpers on your drive.
