Can i connect a 60hz laptop to a 144hz monitor ?

I want to connect my laptop(60hz) to a monitor(144hz). Will it display 144hz on the monitor ? What adapter should i use for this ?

The monitor : https://www.asus.com/Monitors/TUF-GAMING-VG249Q/

Btw i haven't bought both laptop and monitor. I'm just checking the compatibility for the laptop. If you have a compatible monitor for the laptop, please let me know :)
