So I was updating the bios on my asus strix x570i because I wanted to OC the CPU. The problem is now the Mobo won’t load my hard drive ( M.2 ) it doesn’t show up under boot priorities. I’ve tried resetting the cmos. I went back to optimized bios settings. Nothing. I can’t figure it out. I might of moved some setting on the Mobo.   Is there a way to revert back to factory settings? Or something? Thanks guys hope you can help.

Setting to optimized bios is the factory default. Does it even detect the drive? Try changing the following

  • Set controller from ACHI to RAID or vice versa
  • Enable CSM
  • Try another M.2 slot if there is an extra one.
  • Sometimes after configuration, bios will not list the M.2 drive, but will rename it as Windows Boot Manager. Look for that and add that to your boot list.
