Im trying to wipe the boot drive for ubuntu and use it for windows but everything i try fails plz help

What have you tried?

But also, no real need to wipe it. Just put a USB with a bootable Windows image, and when it asks what drive to install it on, just delete all the previous partitions, and then hit install. It will treat the drive as a new drive.

If you want to destroy data, you can do something like a ubuntu live USB, and run DD on it?

If you are going to wipe the drive anyway to install windows, why not use the Windows Media Creation Tool?  It wipes, cleans, partitions, etc., then installs the Windows operating system.  And the tool is a free download from Microsoft.  A USB drive of 8 gigs is required, but a 16 is better.  Good luck.
