Can't access dedicated graphics

Hey

I have a HP pavilion 15 cc1xx. It has an i5 8250U processor with Nvidia GeForce 940MX. Earlier i could play games like CSGO on 1920*1080 resolution easily.

But now, i am not even able to play on 100 fps on 1280*720 resolution. It says my display adapter has changed to Intel HD graphics 620. I tried changing the settings in the Nvidia control panel and my drivers are updated. Even if i am connecting an external display, it is connecting onto Intel HD graphics and not onto my Geforce graphics card. Please help.

Try downgrading your drivers to the previous version you had or download the official drivers from hp. Or if you know your way around the BIOS try fixing it there.

In the Nvidia control panel did you look under 3D settings > Manage 3D settings?

Yes. I have done every possible thing i could do
