keyboard with a cable extender

so im using like a 9 food cable extender on my keyboard until i can buy a proper wireless should i expect any noticable delay if i device to connect a 9 foot extender to my computer to my keyboard im just curious or does it matter at all unless its like a 90 foot extender?

There won't be any impact.  The theoretical difference in latency would be on the order of nano seconds if I'm not mistaken.  You'll run into signal integrity issues long before that, but with that said, you should not have any issues up to at least ~30 ft.

Light travels aprox. 1ft per nano second. Electricity through copper is about 95% the speed of light.
