Hello all, I have two HD 6970s setup on a Windows 7 Pro 64bit box with the 14.9 AMD drivers installed. I also tried the latest drivers and I have had the same result. It seems 1 out of 5 WUs received will work but the rest of the time I get the error below:

Does any one have an idea what could cause this? I looked around for anyone else who has had a forcedBuffer: clCreateBuffer issue but couldn't find much. Any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Are you running any overclocks?  That can cause WUs to fail.

Be sure to QUOTE or TAG me in your reply so I see it!

I only found theads where other people had the same issue with 6850s (for mining, but the workload is pretty similar)... seems there's something modern stuff wants that these old cards can't do.

Well here is something new. I just got a new WU. It starts up FahCore_22.exe does something then the video drivers crash and recover leaving the GPU stuck at 99% utilization. I have to kill FahCore_22.exe because it just seems stuck not doing anything.

Is your card overclocked?
