Task manager doubt

You should find startup manager of some kind. That tells which programs load on startup. I used to have this http://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/startup_cpl.html but now I use one with ASC. CCleaner also has one.

That really depends on what programs you have installed.

Or you could just use the built in windows function. Start> type " msconfig " in the search bar without quotes > click the startup tab>uncheck things you don't want.
