I have a desktop It is this configuration

Amd Sempron 2800+ skt 739

Msi board

Geforce 6600 256mb gddr2

2gb ram ddr400

1x seagate barracuda 120gb 7200rpm IDE ata100

1x wd caviar 82gb 7200rpm IDE ata 133

1x wd 320 gb 3.5’’ 7200rpm

2x Seagate 500gb 3.5’’ 7200rpm

2X Samsung 1tb 3.5’’ 7200

1X asus dvd-r 16X

1x pionner dvd-rw 8X

 

This configuration withstood about 10 years so now I'm trying to build another like it as below, but i doesn’t know it is durable about 10 years from now. My budget is 1.5k€ or us $2k without keyboard, mice, monitor. can you help me. Send me a more likely configuration to that budget using some old pc components like disks and , I need to use pc to gaming, house data server at least 7 years and I’m thinking to overclock it to plus 1ghz.

well it should be fine.

 

btw is that non urano tx850w (psu?) if so trash it and get something like the rm 650/750 or the hx on3e from corsair.

 

trash your 2666mhz ram to a 1600mhz cl9 ram and 2x8gb too.

 

with the save extra cash trash your 750d and get a 900D

 

or trash your 770 and get a 780.

 

but eitherway it will give phenomenal experience compared to your old rig.

Dont go for custom watercooling. I'd rather get a 780, if it needs to last 10+ years.

What's the system being used for? Why wc?
