UNC Path Not Working

I am trying to share a few drives on some machines but i cannot get 1 UNC path to work.  Any troubleshoots i could try?

try using the IP instead of the hostname. For example, instead of \\DEVICE-NAME\share, try \\192.168.0.xxx\share or whatever the IP of your device is.

If that doesn't work, try pinging the device. If you can't ping it, you've got bigger networking issues.

Yeah IP address works.  I have a bit of software that uses UNC path.

So that piece of software isn't accepting a specific UNC path? Even with just the IP?

IP works fine its just the UNC path that doesn't.  But i needs to be UNC.

So your router technically handles routing from a hostname to an internal IP. What are you using for routing? It should be done automatically.

Actually, the DHCP is on a Windows Domain controller.
