CS GO Errors Crashes w/Launch Option -Threads >16

Does anyone with a CPU that has more than 8c/16t use the launch option -threads and have found that the game crashes if you try to use anything more than 16 threads?  I'm curious if I am I doing something wrong or if that the max the game will handle with that launch option is 16 threads.

This really is unimportant and more just a curiosity so please don't devote any important time to exploring it for me.

I currently run a 1700x and play quite a bit of csgo.  I have never attempted this but can try for you later today to see what happens.  I do know though that there is  currently issues with the game right not causing things like stutters and other graphical issues in game.  Seems to be widespread and valve, I hope, are attempting to address it with updates.

I appreciate that you're willing to take the time it's just that this occurs when using a value larger than the 16 threads you have available.  I didn't have the issue with my 2700X.

I'm sure you can set the amount of threads and cores usable in the launch options to avoid crashes, i had to do similar when i used to play CSGO.

I am talking about using the launch option with a value higher than 16 being the source of the problem.  I know I can avoid it by using a lower value.  My curiosity lies in whether others with high core count (more than 8c/16t) CPUs have found this too and whether it's the game's limit or if there is more to it.

@LordSherman Which GPU do you have?  Apparently there were more frames in CS:GO to be had with a 1070ti that I wasn't getting with my 2700X.

Ok.  Do you use the launch option -threads?
