so im trying to decide whether or not its going to be worth going for a complete custom loop for my r9 290 and cpu with a 360mm and 240mm rad but it would cost around 700 dollars maybe more.

would it be better to get a g10 for the gpu and something else for the cpu?

would it be possible to chance the g10 rad to something bigger? and link that to the cpu aio?

EDIT - or just get the artic accelero xtreme III for the gpu? i was only going to go liquid because i have a stock r9 290

I would recommend custom, its worth the extra cash.

im just wondering if its going to be worth it in the long run, i could put 600 dollars towards a new car and spend 130 for the artic xtreme cooler?

all im wanting to do is slightly over clock my r9 290 but not have a loud hair dryer next to me

hum worth it, that surely is the biggest issue.

the cost of custom loop should have better temperature control, possibly a quieter

rig, and probably more eye-pleasing versus AIOs and maybe alright temperatures

and loud fans to be replaced with other fans.

not to be rude, but if the money end of the custom is too high, just go the CPU AIO

and coolest third (thermal) party cooling for the GPU. because customs will always

more expensive than they need to be. are they worth the money, prolly not. are they

nice to look at, damn-skippy.

anybody with the water cooling bug wants ultimate this, that and tuther, starting with

a bare-bones cooing system and finally getting that last bling item caps the build.

but if monies will be tight, budget looses funding, or just too much to spend, no

one should fault anyone to know their limitations. your wallet will answer that one for you.

do you want a nice looking build or just get the job done rig? what is it worth to you?

well you pretty much have written what you need to do. and hopefully the cooler

you are looking into will supply that extra for your needs. and you'll have a car.

the goal was to get this awesome looking pc, i have the case, the color scheme(except cables) all it needs it the custom loop, but honestly, i could finish this build up later in my life, its a $3000 computer including peripherals, it plays everything, just needs a difference gpu cooler :o

so i guess the 3rd party cooler is the way to go :o

The g10 doesn't come with a rad. You need to get a compatible aio. They have a list on the site of compatible coolers.

the custom loop you're doing is like a power supply. most of the parts will last you  2-3 build.

now thats something i didnt take into consideration, but in saying that, the only parts that would be able to be carried over, realistically would be the rads fittings and pump/res so i would still need to spend around 330 on cpu/gpu blocks, which isnt tooo bad. im considering a custom loop even more now :o
