Help optimizing twitch stream? 1080p preferred

I'm considering getting into twitch streaming. I plan to do giveaways and all that jazz.

Before I dump a ton of time into it I really want to get my settings dialed in so that I can play games with a reasonable performance hit, while maintaining really nice stream quality. I see these guys running 4770k's streaming Titanfall at 1080p but I can't seem to replicate their success.

What I have to work with:

i7 4770k @ 4.5GHz

32GB Ram

Sapphire 7870 x3 (2 are mining) + 270x also mining

50mb/s down

5mb/s up

Xsplit (can use OBS)

If anyone would be kind enough to suggest settings for both xsplit or OBS that would be great. If you are interested in helping I am actually working on it right now: http://www.twitch.tv/chasewd

Bitrate is the most crucial setting when streaming. You'll need to have high Upload to maintain a high bitrate however. Play around with OBS bit rate and enable "Use Multithreaded Optimizations->Process Priority Class High".

I also like to use CBR so my bitrate isn't fluctuating during a stream. Start off with half of your Upload in kb/s and tweak it up/down til you get reasonably high quality stream with the lowest latency.

I see. Im at 4500 right now as speedtest.net reports a 7000 total upload.

I know that Speednest.net isn't really accurate but it seems to be working so far. I think I will use OBS over Xsplit.

You can't stream in HD until you get partnered.

Just run ~4000 - 4500 bitrate and they will scale the resolution to be as high as possible for non partners, I think it's 616p. Stay committed and once you get 300+ viewers every few streams in a row, you will get partnered.

Using higher bitrate means that your viewers will have to have fast internet in order to watch it. Even pros who stream at 1080p don't use over 3500. My 720p setting is at 2200 and quality isn't as bad as you'd think.
