My PC sometimes crashes when playing a game

TroXGoliath

So im new to PC building and this is my first one, it runs really well, but my problem is when i run things like warzone, it will run for a while and then completely restart my computer. I have no overheating issue and im thinking it could be my sshd over working itself.

The build goes like this

Msi x570 mother board

Corsair vengence 2X8gb

Ryzen 5 2600 with stealth cooler

Seagate 2.5 in firecuda 1 tb

Radeon rx 590

And thermaltake 500 W PSU

If it's just Warzone, then try reinstalling the game.

Also, why would you get an X570 motherboard for 2nd gen Ryzen... actually, why would you get one in general?

It could be AMD rx 590 driver issues as well.

Ive updated the drivers to the latest. Im in seatools right now doing a long fix to see if any sectors are bad on my sshd. Could that be an issue?  It stays at 100% mostly

There could be compatibility issues with the hardware and the drivers

Ive went through and there is nothing wrong with the sshd, my pc is not overheating. Could it be my gpu? The fans are not on, on it

I don't think that will help you but you can check if the thermal paste is applied correctly.

I had a similar problem but with my gpu(rx 570), the thermal paste wasn't applied correctly so while gaming my monitor was losing signal.

Can you see any logs in event viewer? do some games work and other crash? which games crash and which do not? Start by running some tests

Prime95 for cpu

memtest86 for ram

hdtune for hdd

furmark for gpu

Try to isolate what could be causing the issue and go from there. Note: care that thermals are within reason and can handle synthetic loads.

Go down to 19.6.X drivers and see if they stop. 19.6.3 was the last one pre-Navi, which is where everything went to hell. I use them on my Radeon VII and it solves the issues that come along with using post-Navi drivers.
