based on TB video, it looks pretty promising.

I never really way hyped for it in the first place, but now it looks like a good game.

Iv been playing it for a few hours now. It is fun, though I really don't know how it will be fun for very long.

They're are pretty small maps with not many weapons to choose from.

Just my 2 cents.

Nope they're all out, even when they said they'll be giving them out until 11:59pm PST 17th, tried about 20 mins ago and twice 2 days ago.

you can just email them and they will give you one. I just got mine by emailing them.

My first impressions:

 

Graphics/ art design: 5.5/10 - some textures are really low res even at highest settings and it kills the mood for me sometimes, especially when climbing into the Titan and seeing the horrible textures inside. Is this designed for the previous gen consoles? As for art direction, it looks pretty standard for a game like this, very 'samey' when compared to other futuristic shooters. Map design is very good though. Seems really well optimized as I'm getting about 80-150 FPS at mostly highest settings with my GTX 470 and 3570K @ 4.7Ghz.

 

Gameplay: 8.5/10 - very surprised by how engaging it is systemside. They've even managed to make losing fun as you get to try to get to the dropship and extract, which is really fun in itself. Some points removed for a kind of drab selection of weapons. And weapons/ abilities that shoot multiple rockets are the most inaccurate things ever, and seems to have a mind of their own.

 

Progression: 8/10 - would have liked there to be some customization from lvl 0, if this game was only a little less fun than it is I would probably not play far enough to get customization since it is integral to my personal fun with games. Other than that, it feels mostly right.

 

Customization: 6/10 - too early to say what it'll be at launch, but I am missing visual customization a lot and I am pining for some way to paint my Titan or something. I really despise scumming around looking like everyone else. Apart from that, I'm not impressed by the selection of abilities nor the equipment, but there always seems to be something useful in every category so it gets a passing grade from me regardless.

 

Overall: 7/10 - good for a beta, and as someone who usually despises AAA multiplayer titles, this one is actually damn good. It's not Natural Selection 2 or Red Orchestra 2, but it certainly has the look of a game with enough dimensions to it to become competitive.

You can trick them I got my code that way, go to support and say you got a used code.

I'll try both of these, thanks for the tips. I really like the look of it, it's CoD combined with Halo imo, with some extra, short little actions that look similar to that in BF. 

Also, with emailing Origin, what do they use, Gmail?

I didn't care about it really. But I got into the beta and I love it.

same here, i saw it advertised online, was like, meh, ill try to get the beta. got it the next day and now cant stop playing it.

for a beta, its pretty good, and looks promising when the full games gets released. not sure what the 'insane' gfx looks like, as im playing on a bootcamp mac that can only take medium gfx. gameplay is great. favorite mode is the Hardpoint.

I've only played attrition so most of my opinions are based on that. So here they are In as few points as possible.

 

- Attrition games are far too short, the kill limit needs to be raised.

- Waiting time between games needs to be cut down a bit.

- In attrition there are far to many titans on the field at any one time and it kills the pace of infantry combat, I think the cooldown should be raised from 2 minutes to 3 minutes  just to keep the pace up a bit. 

- Cloak is basically useless compared to stim 

- 40mm cannons blow

- Weapon balance seems to be pretty good, although that could change in the full game when more stuff is introduced.  

- I wish there was more customization, even small things like weapon camos would go a long way to improve the replay value. 

- Also you can kill enemy titans by dropping yours on it.... its bloody amazing. 

 

And thats all for now, I might add more stuff to this post when i've played it a bit more, but overall its a solid game and I had fun playing it. I doubt i''ll buy it a launch though, maybe when it starts appearing on g2a for cheap.

I was running the game max settings (Not max texture filtering or anistropic filtering.) and MSI Afterburner was saying the game was using 1960MB of my 2GB VRAM. Which is a lot considering BF4 only used 1700MB max with the textures on ultra.

 

I really like it though.

you have to use the email you sign up with orgin. just email them saying your key doesn't work. then download orgin , sign in..and the beta is in your profile to download..once they send you an email saying that they have place the beta in your orgin.
