MX250 4k resolution on windows 10

hi, I am trying to plug my laptop which has both integrated GC and MX250 in it. I am trying to plug the laptop to 4K monitor but it wont let me on windows to go above 1080p resolution. I also tried in Nvdia control panel to choose the MX250 as the default GC but that didnt solve the issue. I read MX250 supports 4k res so not sure what i am missing. Thanks

what port are you using and version / what das your laptop support / what das your monitor support with the input your using.

your GPU may support up to 5000x5000 but if you use VGA it wont work ;)
