I had the 'Media Test Failure' message appear when booting, so i tried to fix the problem by changing the boot mode from Legacy to UEFI. After i did this my computer restarted and would not post, although all the components started up including the HDD which i changed it on. I have already checked ram and taken out the motherboard battery for a good 10 mins. This is also a brand new system that i had booted for the first time yesterday.

Here are the pc specs:

Cpu: i5 3570

Mobo: Intel DQ77MK

Ram: 2x2gb Corsair VS2GB1333D3

Gpu: EVGA gtx 480

Psu: Thermaltake 600w 80+ Bronze

HDD: Samsung Spinpoint F3 1tb

You can't just swap to booting off UEFI if your OS was installed in Legacy mode.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

What motherboard do you have? Do you have a BIOS reset button on it? Pulling the battery is just a pain if you don't have to. After putting the battery back in it still didn't post? Or haven't you tried it yet?

The motherboard is an intel DQ77MK, and there is no bios reset switch. I took out the battery once for ten minutes, but i have read an article that you should leave it out for a while(1 hour our more).

BobVonBob is correct my friend, have you tried switching back to Legacy mode? Also, may I ask what OS you're running?

Haha, the battery needs to stay out long enough for the capacitors to empty. Unplug your computer pull the battery, push the power button, wait 30 seconds to 1 minute, and you're good to go.

Yeah, there is no display, although my monitor does pick up that there is a signal.

What have you googled so far, my friend? Lol, while I still seem to post just a little too late haha.
