Hello people!

I've just installed 2 new monitors for a colleague, he's saying there is a colour difference they are both GW2480 IPS monitors but have the same make DP cable, both running off an RX470.

Both have the same WHQL driver installed, I've gone through both monitor settings and they both match perfectly. I've even been in touch with the supplier who has confirmed the screens both came from the same batch/production line.

I'm at a loss of how there can be a difference??

Does anyone have any ideas?

LCD is a fundamentally analog technology.  It’s based on a 19th century technique of wiping a sheet of glass with a piece of velvet.  There’s just going to be variance.  This is why microLED is so hotly anticipated.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Life is like a bowl of chocolates: there are all these little crinkly paper cups everywhere.
