I just bought a H100i,

I was upgrading my machine and trying watercooling for the first time.

Luckily it was not in my PC when this happened, but I took it out of the box was holding it up trying to see how the hoses would route when BOOM one hose blew off the pump and shot coolant in my face, the ceiling, across the room, on the walls.  Crazy amount of pressure in there im not sure what happened.  Huge mess.  So glad it was not in my machine at the time with my new components.

Newegg was great and is giving me a refund.

I purchased the Cooler Master Glacer 240L instead, just waiting for it to arrive...how does it compare?

I'm using an old Cooler master HAF 932 case and didnt want to mess around modifiing it to fit a 280mm cooler.

You refunded it, why not RMA it directly from Newegg to Corsair. Nevermind...

btw it's actually a 240mm radiator not a 280mm

sounds like it sploodged everywhere.

I don't really think thats a common thing, probably a 1:100000 chance of it happening.   It could of been a shipping problem where the box got bounced around alot or something.

That's the first time I've ever heard of something like this happening :o

I got my coolermaster glacier installed... it had its own set of issues.

Fittings off the pump hit into the motherboard heatsinc, they also smash into the RAM. I moved my ram over.  I could probably rotate the pump 90 degrees to fix the ram binding problem but it would still bind with the heat fins.

Oh well it is on and working good at least.

( fitting binds up on these heat fins, but i think it will be ok )

So I don't know much about the h100i or any of the corsair series & how they work? Is the pump built in all in one?

The pump is (usually) located in the CPU block.

Thank's Ghost, So its that small? Does it move a good amount of fluid for being that small, reason I ask is because im currently running Hyper N520 CoolerMaster HeatSink & im looking to upgrade sometime here soon

It move as much as it needs to. Its a single block and single rad so it doesn't have to be as large as pumps for custom loops.

Well new egg denied my return of my POS h100i, their reason was that a fin was bent on the radiator.

I don't see how that's possible or what that has to do with anything, the stinking hose blew off within minutes of taking it out of the box and it went right back into the box.  no way I bent anything.

pretty ticked off and both new egg and corsair.

Oh jeez, I knew about possible RAM clearance issues, but VRM heatsink?? I didn't know about that...

I, too, am using a HAF 932...and I am wanting to get a Glacer 240L (but they are out of stock; were you the one that took the last one?! ).

Now I'm wondering if the VRM heatsink on my ASUS Crosshair V Formula will be an issue...

Anyways, the 240L fits quite nicely in the HAF 932. Good, good.

RMA it to Corsair.  I got of those noisy pumps back when they were having isuse and had to RMA my H100.  They just turned around and shipped me a hole new unit.

I bought the Glacier 240L on amazon.. I have amazon prime so its hard to beat the free 2 day shipping.  Its working just fine.. i got a bit of OC going and temps are still super low.

The Glacier 240L looks kinda tiny in my HAF 932 though.. a 280 would for sure fit but none of the mount holes would line up.. you would have to fab something.  My HAF 932 is pretty old, maybe they have updated the newer version.

Those fins were likely bent before it even arrived at new egg, they're just trying to cover their own asses and unfortunately at your expense.
