manually configured static IPs may work but it is so new no one has tested it.

Yeah I did the same connecting my PC to my Notebook.

 

You will have to use Wifi for internet though, unless you have miltiple LAN ports though, obviously.

 

Set the IPs static to each other and it worked for me.

i got 2 lan cards from a server, i will place the cards in the pcs then also connect the pcs via lan to the adsl.

gaming pc to the modem

streaming pc to the moden

both pc connected via lan without passing the modem

then static ip and i will be done? how i can be sure the workload is not going to the modem?
