HTC One Max a good buy?

Kuzma
Go to solution Solved by Jogostar,

I was expectiong a much larger keyboard. :P

It wouldn't be possible with mine, so I though wow you must have big hands.

anyway, I would say get the One Max if you have the money.

the One is a great  phone.

Is the HTC One Max a good idea for me? I have extremely large hands (I can place my thumb on left control and pinky on f12) so the size isn't really a problem, I really enjoyed using the Sense UI and that's what swayed me from the Note 3 as I had originally planned; I was also wondering if anyone here has/had one and might give their personal view on it?

I would love to see a picture of your hand reaching from left control to F12.

If you think that having a phone that big will help you, then by all means go ahead. The HTC One Max is pretty much the HTC One, which I have and love so go for it!

Linus did a review on it. Might be worth a watch.

It's a pretty solid choice. The only other large phone, other than the Note I'd consider would be the Oppo N1 Cyanogenmod Edition.

because it provides NOTHING special for it's size unlike the Galaxy Note 3.

OP just get Note 3 and use a AOSP based rom

I despise stock android :/ it just feels so bland, I'm primarily going for the One Max because I've used a One, I've used an S4, an S4 Mini, an S3 and an S Note 10.1; after all of this the main thing drawing me is the the Sense UI and the actual material that the One (Max) is made of. The Alumin(i)um just feels so nice in your hand coupled with the Sense UI, AOSP makes me want to hurl tbh :/ after using it for 2 years on my tablet and for 3 months with a temporary LG replacement phone I had, I want to stay away from it at all costs.

have you used kitkat or jellybean? because they are amazing and much cleaner and a smoother experience to any other skinned version of android

Off topic; here is a beautiful picture of my hand. It's weird I have the smallest hands of all my friends yet this picture makes it look gigantor.

Also yeah Sense is not very pretty IMO I use Sense with Action Launcher Pro and Click UI Icons.

O.o am I really the only one that thinks that Sense looks far nicer than anything else?

It's nice but the App Drawer is something that I will never get used to. Also the phone-app is not very functional IMO. I like it because it is very lightweight compared to say Touchwiz.

Basically, I like how it look but not how it functions.

just saying I have used both sense and aosp extensively and I much prefer modified aosp with added customizability of just stock AOSP vs sense

Well when I get my phone I can always get AOSP and do an iSwitched I guess :/ just for the sake of it. The alumin(i)um casing is also a swaying point and that it's bigger >_< God I hate using iPhones or Galaxy S4's I always press multiple things at once and my hands feel so cramped :/ same with the PS4 controller.

I'm at the point where waiting another week is killer let alone 2 months xD my blackberry froze from simply sending the picture of my hand via e-mail.
