Trying to connect to my pc's internet through bluetooth.

I want to be able to browse the web on my phone via bluetooth. Using my Pc's ethernet connection. I can't figure it out.

I know you can use your data plan on your pc.. but it won't use the ethernet/bluetooth android connection.

I'm sure its redundant.. but possible. Can anyone link me with a tutorial?

I want to use my pc as a bluetooth hotspot to browse the internet on my phone(android device). ty.

also this ones off topic but my gshock connects bluetooth with the triple sensor but theres no software on the microsoft store. I'm guessing its just a buffer until I download an app emulator.

EDIT: is this it?

no I don't think that's it as the talks about setting up a Bluetooth network for transferring photos or videos from a phone to a PC,

tbh I don't know whether you can  do it

If I don't reply it's probly because I am in a different time zone or haven't seen your message yet but I will reply when I see it ?

Right... :/ I'm positive it's do-able.. danget. I bought a 20 dollar dongle for no reason at all... lol.

I can do this android to android bluetooth hotspot.. I can do this android to pc bluetooth/usb hotspot. But I cannot do PC to android bluetooth hotspot. OR usb hotspot to android.. for that matter. I'm certain it's because I have wifi on my modem.. BUT WHAT IF I DIDN'T. And for a matter of fact.. They charge me 5 dollars a month for wifi access on my modem! What am I missing here because that's obsurd.

I think the problem is my pc doesn't have wifi.. and I would need to be connected via wifi for it to work? Or... no? I have a laptop that has wifi.. and that has connection sharing. I should try that. Because my ethernet connected/bluetooth enabled pc is no trabajadora.

Windows 10 has a hotspot feature built in though you need two network cards for it.....doesn't matter wht type as long as one is connected to internet

I'm stuck at "using ICS" and it want's me to set up something I've never known.. Also, only work's on a pc that for some reason has more than one way to connect to the internet. There's a sharing option under network connections on my laptop because it has wifi. My pc has only ethernet and bluetooth. I'm close.. but I'm at that part where it want's to know port numbers for a dial up connection or something... ANDDD all I want to do is browse the internet.

it is reverse tethering.

is developer options. in android. I THINK

AAAND i think theres software involved :/ REALLY

without root access it says to Bluetooth PAN ...on a mac.

I cannot friggin believe how backasswards excuse my language. android to windows can be.

WINDOWS... deep breaths.. Tablet. (that kid in a wheel chair from malcolm in the middle).

...which only works on windows to windows.. I THINK.

its picking up as an unknown device. but I guess I just found out you could windows to windows bluetooth internet. THAT's neat. I need another laptop or a pcie express slot.. Wait does a router on a modem count as a wifi connection for the pc its on?

no worries,

btw the usb port on modems isn't just for printers.

I  think you can plug an external hard drive into it or something?

Most elegant solution is to just WiFi connect your phone to the router that is providing internet to your PC. If your router has no WiFi, buy a wireless AP for the router.

yeps.. im surprised hotspots are even available bluetooth.. feels weird man
