Hey here the other day when i turned on my pc (the system you see below), it was dead, there was no light in the power switch, no fans came on, i tried the onboard power switch still  nothing, then i tried without Gpu and only one stick of ram and one ssd, still the same, then another psu and a new stick of ram, still dead, so it must be the mobo i thought, then i tried the cpu, ram, ssd (with the OS), and psu on another z77 mobo that i had, now it starts up but no matter what i do, it get stuck at the mobo splash screen. If i clear cmos i can get in to the bios, but after 10sec it freezes and i have to restart.

the temps on cpu was about 30c, and all the volts looked fine.

I tried with a new stick of ram so that should be fine

I just tried with a HDD that i know work, and its still stuck at the mobo screen. So it must be the cpu as it is the only thing i haven´t changed yet.

When changing motherboards you need to reinstall Windows (7 or older.) Win 8 it will detect your new mobo and run without issues. But this is not your problem! If you're sure the motherbord is ok, it's the ram or cpu.. I toasted a 775 motherboard a year ago after forgetting to replug the cpu fan connector. Same exact issues: freeze and/or restart after splashscreen. I was amazed that my E5500 is just fine but the cheap old BIOSTAR ddr2 motherboard died. Also a ram stick got corruped, don't ask how that that's possible.

Funny thing...sometimes it's better to have a weak but cheap mobo beacause it will fail before your (potentially expensive) CPU does.
