They've had prototypes at some of the major tech shows this year, they're pretty well underway to release a discreet GPU.

 

How well it performs against the competition however, remains to be seen.

You should paste a link, instead of the contents of another site, though you can paste some smaller, relevant snippets from there. That said, yes, Intel is launching their own GPUs called Intel Xe. That said, you won't be seeing consumer-models anytime soon.

Its being said that it is for gaming purposes so shouldn't we see consumer models actually and also it is stated that they will be launching this year but not when

No and no. The first models are for very early developers and then come the actual datacenter-oriented models. Consumer-models? A lot later.

A third player in the future would probably be good for customer ... maybe some more competition will bring prices down ... I don't have much hope for that tho...
